As a videographer in Lagos with extensive video production experience across Nigeria and parts of Africa, I have had the privilege of working with numerous brands across diverse industries.
Recently, I had the opportunity to collaborate with Guinness World Records to produce a documentary in Akure in Ondo state, which was a significant milestone in my career. This will require a videographer in Lagos to travel with his camera crew to Akure.
The Brief
The experience was outstanding from the beginning. We had several virtual meetings to discuss their brief and finalize the project filming dates.
The project involved documenting a group of three friends who broke the skipping ropes record. My team and I were responsible for producing the documentary in Akure, requiring us to travel from Lagos to Akure for the shoot.
Initially, we planned to travel by air, but due to flight availability issues on the desired dates, we had to travel by road. Ensuring our safety, we traveled with security, as safety is paramount for every project we undertake.
Camera Crew and Equipment
We were a 3-man crew on the project. I was the DP and Director and the project was filmed on the Sony FX3 camera. We filmed with natural lighting but we had diffusers and other lighting tools to shape the natural light for cinematic feel.
The production went smoothly, and we enjoyed the process, even taking a group picture at the end. After completing the shoot, we returned to Lagos the next day. We sent the footage to the client, who opted to handle the post-production process. They were thrilled with the material we provided.
